Choosing where to study is the first — and one of the biggest — decisions in your study abroad journey. Before you look at rankings, answer these questions honestly.
1. What do you want to do after graduation?
Think about the career you want and where you would like to start it. Post-study work options, industry links and the strength of your field in each country matter more than general rankings.
2. What is your realistic budget?
Add up tuition, accommodation, living costs, health cover and the funds you must show for your visa. A shorter programme — like a one-year UK master’s — can reduce the total cost.
3. How long do you want to study?
Programme lengths differ by country and level. Compare the total time to graduation, including any foundation or pathway year.
4. Which intakes fit your plans?
Most destinations have a main intake (September or February) and one or two smaller ones. Missing a deadline can delay your plans by months.
5. Do you meet the English and academic requirements?
Check entry requirements early. If you need a better English score, our Language Hub Institute can help you prepare.
